    Ecology Flag

The Ecology Flag Program is funded by the DuPage County Environmental Committee

If you have already earned an Earth Flag and want to make an even bigger impact, you are ready for an Ecology Flag! Create a new program that conserves resources or reduces pollution on a large scale and SCARCE will assist you in implementing the program and engaging the members of your organization.

Some ideas for new programs are:

    • Invest in energy saving technologies, such as renewable energy or products that increase energy efficiency on a large scale
    • Implement a food scrap composting program
    • Adopt a zero waste policy
    • Establish a pesticide-free community garden
    • Create a monarch waystation

If you have another idea, contact SCARCE to find out if it meets the standard for an Ecology Flag.
