GREEN STEM: Energy Conservation & Green Building
A modified virtual class is offered for DuPage County teachers on Friday, February 26, 2021.
Visit energy efficient buildings and get introduced to Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) building standards as part of this learning experience. You will tour Argonne’s LEED Gold Energy Sciences Building and visit additional facilities that contain on-site renewable energy systems, including solar panels, wind turbines and more.
Additionally, you will explore emerging careers in the field of sustainability.
Back at SCARCE, get a feel for energy efficiency on the Energy Bike – a hands-on learning tool which SCARCE can bring to your school for STEM activities and programs. This is a fast paced workshop that is jam-packed with resources, activities, and ideas for the classroom.
