Volunteers Needed for Back to School Fair 2017

Each year SCARCE bring thousands of books to the Catholic Charities Back-to-School Fair to give out to children from underprivileged families in DuPage County. It’s a big event so we depend heavily on the support of our volunteers to help set up/tear down and staff our book tables.

This year, the Back to School Fair is on Wednesday, August 2nd from 11am-6pm at St. Francis High School in Wheaton.

We need volunteers on the following days:

• Tuesday, August 1st, 2017– loading/unloading and set-up (must be able to lift heavy boxes)
• Wednesday, August 2nd, 2017 – helping children choose books, tear down, loading/unloading at SCARCE

Volunteers must be at least 14 years old and comfortable being on their feet. For set-up and tear down, volunteers must be able to lift. Volunteers that speak Spanish or another language are a big help during the event!
