Best Practices for Regulating and Encouraging Food Scrap Composting

Join speakers from the Illinois Food Scrap Coalition to learn best practices to encourage composting in your community.  Expert speakers will share information on backyard composting, community garden composting, using compost in landscaping, and starting a community drop off or hauling program.

This program is targeted towards municipal staff, city council members, and mayors, but is open to anyone that interested in supporting food scrap compost at the local level.
