What will you do with your pumpkin after Halloween? Rather than letting it languish in a landfill, bring your jack-o-lantern to the annual Pumpkin Smash to be composted – nature’s method of recycling. Participating locations can  be found throughout Illinois.  It’s going to be a smashing time!

Come smash your pumpkin or simply drop it off and have us do it for you.  By composting your pumpkin, you are keeping waste out of landfills, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and creating a natural fertilizer for our soils. 

Note: Remove candles and decorations (stickers, yarn, googly eyes, etc) before dropping off. Pumpkins are only accepted from 9am-12pm on November 2nd unless otherwise noted.
