Webinar: Exploring Best Practices in University Composting Programs
July 19, 2018 @ 1:00 pm - 2:15 pm CDT
| FreeNot only do universities support large student, staff, and administrator populations, producing large quantities of food waste and other compostables, but they are uniquely poised to develop, test, and experiment with composting programs.
With more flexibility and autonomy than cities or towns of comparable size, universities have been at the forefront of diverting compostables from landfill and producing valuable soil amendments, either through partnerships with haulers and compost manufacturers or through establishing comprehensive processing systems on-campus.
Join the Composting Collaborative for a discussion of lessons learned from leaders in university composting programs and hear from Bud Fraser with the University of British Columbia and Julie Muir with Stanford University about their experiences stewarding some of the most progressive programs in North America.
