Living Water 2020 Graduate Class Canceled
June 15, 2020 @ 8:00 am - 4:30 pm CDT
Teachers, mark your calendar for this one-of-a-kind experiential learning program!
This course is being adapted to conform with safety precautions in relation to the coronavirus. The course will be completed through a combination of live online learning, outdoor group site-visits where space allows for social distancing, and self-guided field visits. Individuals must provide their own transportation.
Experience hands-on STEM learning with SCARCE. Teachers, here’s your chance to “dive” into water! You’ll be fully immersed in the methods we utilize to purify, transport, store, absorb, and treat our water resources. We’ll follow our water from Lake Michigan to the DuPage River and everywhere in-between to help you understand the many aspects of our water systems.
We won’t just look at it – we’ll pull on our boots, step in, and learn about the water quality of our own streams. During this class, we take time to experiment, discuss and digest where we have been and why so that you can make a splash in your classroom come fall!
This course is designed to align with NGSS.
