The Economic Costs of Climate Change

November 16, 2017 @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm CST

| Free

Join the Citizens’ Climate Lobby to learn about economic and market-based solutions to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Their goal is to empower you to become an advocate for a livable world. Economists and climate scientists agree that carbon pricing is the best first step to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and to mitigate the impacts of a changing climate.  Their economic modeling studies show their plan does not harm the economy – in fact, it gives it a bit of a boost.

Attend this presentation to learn:

  • How climate change is already costing us money
  • Why more leaders from both major parties are calling for action to combat climate change
  • How we can harness market forces to solve the problem and benefit the economy
