At their second annual community breakfast, which focuses on continued collaboration between College of DuPage and area businesses and community groups, COD Interim President Dr. Brian W. Caputo honored SCARCE with their first ever Community Promise Award. Over 200 local leaders and other constituents gathered to highlight the valuable work that COD and area businesses and organizations have accomplished together.

SCARCE was selected for the Community Promise Award, along with DuPage Medical Group, for our many contributions to education and the community. Over the years, SCARCE has partnered with a number of College of DuPage classes and clubs to enhance their educational experience with in-depth learning on environmental issues and hands-on volunteering.

SCARCE director Kay McKeen, COO Bev Jaszczurowski and SCARCE board members Linette George, Hilary Denck, Valerie Luporini, Penny Linneweh, and Barb Ryan celebrated SCARCE’s recognition at the COD Community Leadership Breakfast.
