Seasonal Collection May 1st-31st: Plastic Garden Pots

SCARCE has partnered with a local organization to collect plastic grow pots and flats for reuse this Spring. Most of the plastic pots that your seedlings and flowers come in from the garden center are not recyclable in your curbside program so empty them out and bring them in to us during the month of May! More details below.

Collection Dates: May 1st-31st 2019

Accepted items (see examples below):

• Plastic grow pots
• Plastic Nursery containers
• Plastic Plant Flats

All containers must be empty.

The Liberty Prairie Foundation will be taking the pots that we collect. The containers will be reused for their foundation programs that include their annual plant sale.

Containers can also be dropped off in Grayslake on the porch of the Yellow Farmhouse at Prairie Crossing Farm, 32400 Harris Road, Grayslake.
