Call for student teams

SCARCE is organizing a world language film festival, Focus on Energy.  We are seeking high school and college students to create smart grid and energy efficiency education videos to reach out to those who prefer to speak in languages other than English.  Over 60 languages are spoken in DuPage County!  Our goal is to ensure that no one is left out of the advantages granted by current investments in electrical infrastructure that provide consumers with opportunities to save energy and money.  This is meant to be a challenging, competitive, interdisciplinary learning experience that will encourage creativity and cultural awareness while exploring the human side of technology.  Video submissions using American Sign Language are also welcomed.

Students – Form your team now!

So, why do this?  Compete and win $1,000 in prize money!  Be creative!  Go crazy with it and let your culture shine! See your video on the big screen in a local movie theater!  Be engaged and make a difference!  Enhance your resume!

Videos must be 3 minutes or less.  We supply the equipment.  Contact [email protected] with questions.
