Woodridge Rotary Recycling Extravaganza

  •  Electronics:
    • CRT, Flat Screens, Projection TVs And Monitors:
      Under 21 inch screen = $25.00 per unit
      21 inch screen and over = $35.00 per unit
      Cash or Credit Card accepted – Please No Checks
      No Charge Items:
    • Computers & Peripherals: PCs, Main Frames, Modem, Printers, Monitors Terminals, Tape Drives, CD-ROM Drives, Floppy Disk Drives, Plotters, Mouse, Keyboards, Scanners, Cables
    • Office Equipment & Products: Telephones, Phone Systems, Answering Machines, Fax Machines, Copy Machines, Cellular Phones, Pagers, Postage Machines
    • Small Home Appliances/Home Improvement Products: Hair Dryers, Circuit Breaker Boxes, Rechargeable Batteries, Power Tools, Electronic Motors, Wire, Fixtures, Toasters, Coffee Makers (No Glass), Blenders, Mixers, etc. (No Glass)

  • document shredding: 3 boxes limit per vehicle – Shred First, sponsored in part by DuPage County
  • lead acid batteries from cars, boats, lawn mowers, trucks, sump pump’s, RV’s and sport vehicles / No household batteries will be accepted – Interstar Battery
  •  bicycles and bicycle parts Working Bikes
  • Scrap metal (e.g. old swing sets, metal fences, metal posts, etc.) – Molenhouse
  • Propane tanks less than 20 lbs. (e.g. camping, lanterns, welding torches, etc.) / No BBQ size tanks will be accepted – Amerigas
  • cell phones, ink cartridges, buttons, keys, books, records, arts & crafts supplies, crayons, etc. – SCARCE
  • eye glasses and hearing aids – Lions Club
  • Goodwill – will accept the following in good working order: compact discs, clothing, boots, shoes, hats, gloves, linens, curtains, blankets, hand and power tools, dishes, pots & pans, musical instruments, sports equipment, etc.

NO Light Bulbs, NO Paint, NO Household Hazardous/Chemical Waste, NO Fire Extinguishers, NO Large Appliances (Refrigerators, Washers/Dryers, Stoves, etc.), NO Smoke Detectors, NO Household Batteries


General Info

Recycling Extravaganzas are drive through recycling and reuse events. Residents can load up their car and then watch as volunteers unload the items they wish to recycle or donate. Events are held Saturday mornings.

No items from businesses allowed. Residential items only.
