• Strict 3 box limit for documents (boxes about the size of standard copier paper/banker boxes).
• Must remove binders, rubber bands, plastic page protectors, plastic bags, plastic file tabs, CDs and other hard items (they are fire hazard for shred truck!)
  • Staples and Paper Clips do not need to be removed.

Document shredding trucks will shred documents on-site as you drop them off.

New in 2019 the Wheaton Document Shredding event is expanding to collect more items:

• Syringes: Collect your household-generated medical sharps (needles, syringes, lancets etc) in a thick plastic container such as a detergent bottle. Secure the lid with tape, label as “sharps” and bring to the Wheaton event for safe disposal. Offered in partnership with the DuPage County Sheriff.
