West Chicago Environmental Commission will host an on-site paper-shredding 9am-12pm Saturday August 1, 2020 in the parking lot at City Hall.

Volunteers will available to assist those who request help emptying their material into the totes. Accurate’s employees and Environmental Commission volunteers will wear gloves and masks for the duration of the event.

Please note: The limit is 10 boxes at a time and residents must keep their empty boxes, Accurate cannot shred or take them away.

Accurate Document Destruction, Inc. in  will provide the shredding service. Totes will be positioned 8 feet away from the shred truck and residents will place their own material in the totes. Once the totes are full, Accurate employees will move the totes to the truck for shredding to maintain social distancing.

Recycling Extravaganzas are drive through recycling and reuse events. Residents can load up their car and then relax as volunteers unload the items they wish to recycle or donate. Events are held Saturday mornings.
