Sustainability Film Series: Switch

October 26, 2016 @ 12:30 pm - 3:00 pm CDT

| Free

College of DuPage Environmental Club is hosting a Sustainability Film Series around the theme of energy.  All films are shown in Room 1234 in the Health and Science Center at COD. SCARCE will be there before the screening giving rides on our energy bike! Showtime is 6pm.

Free and open to the public.

About the film:

Switch

Every energy resource – fossil, nuclear, renewable – is undergoing profound changes, and overall we are gradually shifting from coal and oil to the energies of tomorrow. This sweeping transition is the subject of Switch.  But rather than advocate for how it should happen, Switch travels the world to discover how it most likely will happen. Switch is also about a changing energy conversation – from one that is polarized and unproductive to one that focuses on practical realities and encourages a balanced understanding.

Funded by the COD Foundation. Sponsored by the Natural Resource Symposium Series and the COD Environmental Club.

A half-day symposium featuring Scott Tinker of The Switch Energy Project will take place on Thursday, October 27th.

This is the first of 3 dates. Each date is showing a different energy-themed documentary.

Sept 29th: Cape Spin!

Oct 26 @ 6pm: Switch

Nov 7 @ 1pm: The Babushkas of Chernobyl
