The Village of Roselle and Green Roselle are hosting Roselle Recycles from 8:30a.m. to 12:00p.m. at the Roselle Metra Station’s north parking lot (enter at Rose Dr. off Lawrence Ave). The North Metra Lot will close after 7:00pm on 9/6 to set up for the event.

Items Accepted at Roselle Recycles

• Aerosols ($1/can)
• Books and records
• Bread tags
• Brita pitchers & filters – Brita brand only
• Carseats, Strollers, and Highchairs ($10 each)
• Crayons
• Document Shredding – max 5 boxes per person, no large clips or non paper items
• Electronic items (TVs and Monitors have a $20 fee per item)
• Eyeglasses and Hearing aids
• Foam: takeout containers, packing foam – clean and bagged
• Holiday lights
• Household batteries ($4 per pound)
• Inkjet cartridges – home printer ink cartridges, no toner cartridges
• Keys
• Latex paint (fee varies by size)
• Mercury thermometers, thermostats, barometers
• Musical instruments
• PowerWheels Cars with Battery ($20 each)
• Propane/MAPP tanks ($4/tank)
• Pull Tabs
• Smoke & CO2 Detectors ($1 per Detector)
• Sneakers
• Winter weather gear (gloves, hats, coats, snow pants) – no general clothing or textiles
