Teachers – come join us for an afternoon of monarch butterflies! Learn about the butterfly life cycle with hands-on activities you can use in the classroom. We will discuss habitat, migration and diseases affecting the monarch population. Weather permitting, we will tag and release live wild monarchs found and raised by SCARCE educator Laura Fanning.

Laura is a former schoolteacher and longtime butterfly enthusiast. She has been raising live monarchs for almost 20 years.

Who: DuPage County schoolteachers grades K-12

Credit: Earn 2 PDs

Registration is required. Reserve your seat – space is limited to only 20 participants. Registration fee is non-refundable.
