Argonne’s Energy Sciences Building

Join SCARCE on institute day for a look at Green Buildings and Energy Conservation in DuPage County.  Witness STEM in action through site visits where we learn from experts-on-the-job. Then follow it up with hands-on training on classroom tools from SCARCE staff.

Learn about Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) standards while touring green buildings around DuPage County including the Argonne National Labs Energy Sciences Building. Topics include energy conservation, energy efficiency, and renewable energy.

Recommended for any grade level.

Things to know:

• State ID is required to be on hand during the tours.
• We will be riding a coach bus together to each site.  All participants must ride the bus to earn credit for this course. Required contact-time is fulfilled during transit.
• Pack a zero-waste lunch – you will eat on the bus.
• Dress for the weather, we will be outside for portions of the class.
