Elmhurst Quarry Public Tours

Have you ever wondered what goes on inside the Elmhurst Quarry Flood Control Facility? Here’s your chance to take a rare behind-the-scenes tour of the quarry, a site usually closed to the public. Bus tours will leave the Elmhurst History Museum every 30 minutes and last approximately two hours. Tours have sold out in the past, so don’t miss out!
In partnership with the Elmhurst History Museum, DuPage County Stormwater Management will provide public tours of the Elmhurst Quarry Flood Control Facility on Saturday, September 21st. Led by DuPage County staff, the public tours will run from approximately 9:30 a.m. to 2:30p.m.
The cost for the tour is $12 per person, payable to the Elmhurst History Museum. Quarry tour tickets go on sale on Saturday, September 3 at 9am.
*Children 10 and over are allowed, but must be accompanied by an adult.
