Have you ever wondered what goes on inside the Elmhurst Quarry Flood Control Facility? Here’s your chance to take a rare behind-the-scenes tour of the quarry, a site usually closed to the public. Bus tours will leave the Elmhurst History Museum every 30 minutes and are approximately two hours in duration. Tours sold out in 2015, so don’t miss out!
In partnership with the Elmhurst History Museum, DuPage County Stormwater Management will provide public tours of the Elmhurst Quarry Flood Control Facility on Saturday, September 30. Led by DuPage County staff, the public tours will run from approximately 9 a.m. to 2:30p.m.
Tour Tickets
Cost for the tour is $10 per person, payable to the Elmhurst History Museum. Quarry tour ticket sales will begin at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, September 6. Tickets can purchased online on the Elmhurst History Museum’s website in the Special Events section.
